Bill Schultz´s research interests are twofold: first, in theories of literature as well as methods of literary criticism, and secondly in the theory of culture. His most recent publication is in Contemporary Literary Criticism, a Thomson Gale publication, 2006. In it is a reprinted chapter of a book I wrote called Genetic Codes of Culture? The Deconstruction of Tradition by Kuhn, Bloom, and Derrida, 1994. This is a standard reference work in literary studies. His future research will concern the theories of culture by Lyotard and Baudrillard, especially as these have a bearing on literary criticism. He served in the Department until 2020.
