In 2001, the Rector's Council decided the foundation of the Library of the School of Philosophy. It was comprised of sixteen separate small libraries attached to the various Departments of the School, one of which was the Library of the Department of English Language and Literature. In October 2018, the sixteen libraries were moved to a new building next to the School, on the University campus, Zografou; and in January 2019 the Library of the School of Philosophy was opened to the public.
